Bio
Lisa Charles Watson has been a still life photographer for
twenty-five years. Her images have illustrated editorial
stories for major publication, fashion and jewelry catalogs,
and national and international advertising campaigns.
A native New Yorker, she lives and works in the historic
Chelsea District. Originally inspired by Edward Weston's
iconic "Peppers," and then later by the work of Irving Penn,
as well as by painter Georgia O'Keefe, Lisa has gone on to
compose images that concentrate on color, texture and
depth in a myriad of objects, both natural and man made.
Her studio, a natural light space with views of the Hudson River
and the Manhattan skyline, allows her the room and freedom to
compose her quietly elegant images. She shares her home and
life in Manhattan with her husband, also a photographer, and
their two children and dog, Jack.
